FAQ

Picture of 3 happy dogs with a mountain background

Are you insured, bonded, and background checked?

Yes! Your pet’s safety—and your peace of mind—should never be a gamble.

This protects you, your pet, and your home.

What services do we offer?

We provide drop-in visits, pet sitting, dog walking, overnight stays, medications administration, and home care. All rates include watering indoor/outdoor plants, alternating lights/blinds, bringing in mail, newspaper, packages, putting out trash cans for pickup, and back in to make your home looked lived in while you're away.

How long are visits?

Standard visit are 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. Overnight stays are a 10-12 hour stay.

What Training or Certifications Do You Have?

You’re not looking for someone who “likes animals.” You need someone who knows animals.

Great sitters:

✅ Understand body language and breed-specific quirks

✅ Are trained in Pet CPR/First Aid

✅ Carry a pet specific first aid kit

✅ Have hands-on experience—not just from a classroom

✅ Stay current through professional memberships like PSI

What’s Your Emergency Plan?

Life happens. A quality sitter knows exactly what to do before a crisis occurs.

Ask:

💬 “What would you do if my pet had a medical emergency?” We will contact you immediately, and take your pet to your preferred veterinarian, or the nearest emergency clinic, if needed.

💬 “Do you have a backup sitter in case you’re unavailable?” Yes, we do.

💬 “Do you have my emergency vet’s contact information on file?” Yes, we save your veterinarian contact information on file.

We never leave a pet in distress, and our team leads are trained to handle everything from tummy troubles to bee stings, and wound dressing with compassion.

Do you administer medication?

Yes. We can give oral medications, topical treatments, injections, such as insulin, and sub-Q fluids, with clear instructions from you.

How do I book services?

Simply fill out our request pet care form. After review, we will contact you for scheduling a free meet and greet. If we are a great fit for you, and your pup, we will move forward to scheduling and filing out new client paperwork.

Will my pet get one-on-one attention?

Absolutely! We focus on personalized care and following your pet's routine to reduce stress.

Do you care for pets other than dogs and cats?

Yes! We care for all your pets, from dogs, cats, fish, exotic birds, farm animals, horses and reptiles.

How will I receive updates?

You'll receive daily photos, and text updates so you can relax, knowing your pet is happy, and safe at home while you're away.

Do you require a meet-and-greet?

Yes. A complimentary meet and greet ensures we're a good fit, and allows me to learn your pet's routine, personality, and needs.

Do we offer holiday services?

Yes, we work 365 days a year.

Holiday Rates Apply For:
New Year Eve & New Years Day
Easter
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
$10.00 - in addition to each visit

What Does a Walk Look Like with You?

If walks are part of the service, ask:

🐕 How long are the walks? 30-60 minutes.

🌳 Where do you usually go? We walk around your neighborhood parks, and trails.

🔗 What leashes or harnesses do you recommend? We provide our own leashes, wrap around system, and universal harnesses for all size.

A great sitter will tailor the walk to your dog’s personality and needs—not just their own schedule.

Can you handle large or strong dogs?

Yes! We are experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including high-energy breeds.

What if my pet has special needs?

We're comfortable caring for senior pets, pets with anxiety, disabilities, or medical conditions. Detailed instructions are always appreciated.

How do you handle shy or nervous pets?

We move at their pace, get down to their level, using positive reinforcement, and building trust is our priority.

Do you require a key?

We prefer to use garage or door codes. We no longer keep keys on file anymore. If you have a key, we will provide a lock box to protect your key. Lock boxes are for sale at a small price of $25.

What is your cancellation policy?

We are very flexible with cancelations; we understand that life gets in the way sometimes. We ask for as much notice as possible. Short notice or repeat cancellations may incur a small fee, especially during holidays, and depending on each situation.

What Makes You Different from Just Asking a Neighbor or Friend?

We provide top notch service, and professionalism. Hiring a professional pet sitter vs. relying on family, or friends can make a big difference in your pets' safety, comfort, and routine. You also don't have to feel guilty about asking friends, or family members for favors. Sure, your neighbor means well. But when it comes to your pet’s health, happiness, and safety, good intentions aren’t always enough.

How do you handle agressive behavior?

Safety is my top priority. I'll assess temperament during the meet-and-greet and will only accept bookings I can safely manage.

Are You Connected in the Pet Community?

Great sitters aren’t lone wolves—they’re well-connected pack leaders.

We are affiliated with:

💗 Local vets, trainers, and groomers

📚 Professional associations like PSI

🎓 Ongoing education, and pet care networks

This shows they're not only committed to pet care—but also to community, education, and collaboration.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Zelle, and Venmo.

Do You Have Any Questions for Me?

If a pet sitter doesn't ask you about your pet’s routine, fears, allergies, vet info, or quirks… it’s a red flag.

A real professional will be full of curiosity about your pet’s needs. They’ll want to understand everything—from food rituals to thunderstorm anxiety. Because knowing better = caring better.

Can you provide references?

Absolutely! References are available upon request, and I'm happy to share testimonials from happy clients.
